Skip bin permits – using Council Land
Many of our customers hiring larger skip bins do not have the space in their driveway to keep the skip bin. Your skip bin will therefore need to be placed on Council land. If you require a permit for your skip bin Big Bin Hire will arrange this for you and no extra charge. Unfortunately you will be required to pay for the skip bin permit when booking with Big Bin Hire, however we pass on 100% of this fee to your local Council.
If you are using council land, it is important to apply for a council permit, even though some skip bin companies may suggest you don’t need one.
The skip bin company you are using, should hold the relevant public liability insurance to carry and park skip bins in public areas, and this is a requirement of authorised skip bin hire companies.
Most of our customers do not know the cost of a skip bin permit, so we have included a brief list below of some of the fees your local Council will charge for the placement of a skip bin on Council land. This list is not exhaustive and the fees are subject to change.
