Melbourne’s Inner West Sticking Together

Home » Melbourne’s Inner West Sticking Together

We are facing unpredictable, unprecedented, scary times. As a skip bin hire small business, we are navigating our environment daily to see how we can survive the Covid19 epidemic.

Our main goal during this difficult time is to keep our skip bin drivers and yard staff employed. If we manage to pay our bin drivers a wage every week until this crisis is over, we will be very happy business owners. Nothing is more important right now than certainty. But how can we be certain that our phone will ring with customers tomorrow and we can afford our wage bill. But we must give our team hope, so at the very least we can send them home each day with a feeling of security.

A few things we have observed during this difficult time is that compassion is well and truly alive.

Our customers are working hard to keep their businesses alive and – so far – everyone is being supportive of one another.

We are also seeing incredible innovation – particularly from some of the amazing businesses in the western suburbs including, cafes, gift shops and even some of our waste management partners who are job sharing in order to keep jobs alive.

Please check out some of our favourite businesses that are offering innovative options that are helping keep jobs alive and also better serving the community:
